“What if I didn’t want to drink it with sugar?” Lumine says that, and yet still takes a sip from her cup.
Wanderer’s gaze remains on Lumine, and his face distorts as though he’d seen another bug—it reminds Paimon of his more insane days, and that’s why she keeps her mouth shut, despite how eerie he’s being. “But you like sugar,” Wanderer says, mouth twisted, a petulant edge to his voice. “You like sweet. Food, places, people—isn’t it better if they’re sweet?”
Paimon’s jaw drops open. Hot chocolate dribbles out from the corner of her mouth, sliding down her chin. The question feels like a trap. Is most definitely one, in fact, and even Paimon realizes that.
But Lumine, she doesn’t even blink. Instead, she puts down the coffee, smiling. Lumine is always so nonchalant in the face of Wanderer’s volatility. Paimon doesn’t know how she keeps herself so calm. “Sometimes,” Lumine says lightly, “I prefer bitter.”

Summary
Maybe Lumine doesn’t need something logical right now. It might be more beneficial to try and specifically target Ajax’s emotions in order to get a good response from him. And it’s not like her and Scaramouche’s possible arrangement has to last forever—it’d be easy to claim they broke up whenever the need arises.
Perhaps… it’s actually worth a shot.
In an attempt to make her ex-boyfriend jealous, Lumine decides to fake date Scaramouche.
(Spoiler: It doesn't go according to plan. She falls for Scaramouche instead.)

Summary

Starting this off by saying that is a mindlessly self-indulgent fic, updates will likely be sporadic, and I have no idea what I'm doing. Anyways:
You didn't know why the darkness left you, nor did you know why the sand welcomed you with open arms, but his crimson eyes and blood-stained hands looked very lovely in the moonlight.
Alternatively: Dottore finds an old friend, they (re)join the Fatui, and chaos ensues.
