As a new silence fills the room, the new weight in Venator’s body refuses to subside. It nestles deep within him and pulls at his heart strings. Maybe that’s all he needs; a change of environment, a change of pace, a change of…
“Forgive me for asking such a personal question, Doorman, but have the Patrons ever granted you your wish?”
The words flow from the priest’s mouth before he can even think of them. They hang in the air for a moment, causing him to stumble over an apology for speaking out of term. Venator’s cheeks faintly redden with embarrassment.
“No, it’s quite alright.” There it is again, the smooth, almost comforting tone of the bellhop’s voice. “I would say so, yes. It may be an irritatingly long process at times, but there have definitely been changes at the hotel and within myself. Why do you ask?”

After a successful day in the Cursed Apple, Venator takes some time to reflect in the church. Unexpectedly, his mind is swimming with doubt. And better yet, he finds the bellhop of the city's most prestigious hotel at his side.
