Darcy Graves didn’t really expect to die. She expected to eventually of course, but she never really expected for it to happen directly after the ritual, and she never really expected that her mentor would be the one to kill her either.
What she definitely never expected was the Drifter turning her. Thanks to some mix of pity, boredom, and a desire for amusement he saved her. If you counted being turned into a blood sucking undead as ‘saved’ anyway.
Joining the ranks of those she was trying to honor wasn’t exactly ideal, but there were surely worse fates than being turned into an immortal undead, and it beat bleeding out in an alleyway. Infernus promised to inflict some of them on her if she ever scared her by showing up and bleeding on Jezebel’s floor again.

Summary
Ivy is a living gargoyle, as well as the adopted daughter of the Arroyos. After spending her whole life crushing the Mendoza's, she finally got them out of Spanish Harlem and was hailed as a savior.
But now she has to move on and finally be something she has no practice in. A working adult. So she tries day by day to see the world past the little portion she lived in.
During that time, Ivy gets pestered by her sister Sophia for a while to try and put herself out there. Nervously she's taken a shot at a few guys, but they weren't interested, which she took alright most of the time.
Then he came along into her life one night, a boy whom she fell for harder than anyone ever before him.
(I really like Ivy and have seen literally nothing about her with a reader insert from anybody, so I'm throwing my hat in the ring. Also I wanna try making this my first long chapter count story not counting any cross posts from Wattpad, so look forward to more whenever I feel creative.
I wanna make a more dynamic story based around the readers character so don't expect every chapter to have too much in terms of sexy stuff.)

The priest watched him in silence. How long had this man been hiding here, by himself? To what extent was he a human, or whatever Frankenstein turned him into? It made him sick. The stitches and implants dug into his discolored flesh, cut and bruised and marked, each limb a different size. He had long, dark hair that was tangled and filled with grime, his body barely covered by some dirty rags. Not even a name was he granted, much less the privilege of language. He couldn't decide if being abandoned by his creator was a blessing or plain cruelty.
