“How do you know?” There was a strained line of hope to the complete desolation in Tim’s voice. “It’s been three months. That would mean this entire time that–”
“We need to test the DNA, but Tim. This is Dick’s stupid special feather coloring. The Talon’s or Dick’s eyes, I don’t know, were all fucked up too. They weren’t completely gold like usual.”
There was a thud as heavy boots hit the ground, Jason aimed right for the head, but lowered his pistol at the sight of the cowl. “Cave. Now.”

Dick can hear Deathstroke lazily walking down the line of handcuffed, terrified hostages trying to shuffle back even closer to the wall. He already knows where this is going.
There’s not enough time to decide which would look less suspicious—looking up or not. Slade grabs Dick’s hair and pulls him up, leaving him no choice but to move forward until he’s kneeling at Slade’s feet. He can hear shuddery sighs of relief from the other hostages and can’t blame them.
