Summary
The trees thinned out and eventually bled into a bright juxtaposition of the previous field. Golden grasses swayed with the gentle breeze, the rustling symphony of song tickling his ears. They rippled like the sea, beckoning him to disappear into their warm embrace. Mydei's eyes traced the edges. It didn't take long for him to find what he sought. Several stalks were crushed, a path winding into their depths despite its creator trying desperately to minimize impact.
Just as Mydei was about to follow the imprints, a voice stopped him.
"I knew you would find me." Khaslana's voice was nearly swallowed by the sway of grasses, their stalks sliding together to perform a haunting mantra. "You always find me."

The envelope had not been carelessly thrown. Its courier had delivered it with specific instructions, placing it upon the table in the precise place his hands often occupied. Simple but elegant, mirroring the one who penned it—the latter of which he understood as he traced the underside with a wandering finger.
The energy made itself clear; Morax.

Summary
Zhongli remembered love. He remembered the pretty eyed boy left alone in the garden, covered in scars and cherry blossom petals. He remembered sneaking into their storage closets and stealing kisses amid breathless giggles and soft touches. He remembered midnight walks and stargazing and swordplay.
Above all, he remembered all of their broken promises and fleeting maybes; he remembered Xiao.
