Klavier Gavin stood in the doorway, although he didn’t look at all like himself. His painstakingly maintained hairstyle had fallen into messy blond tufts all across his shoulders, his bangs plastered to his forehead with sweat. His chest heaved as he panted. Instead of a composed smile, his features were contorted in panic, shifting subtly into a look of recognition as his gaze met Apollo’s. His eyes widened. “Apollo?”
“Prosecutor Gav—?” was all Apollo had time to say before Klavier dove towards him, wrapping his arms around Apollo and draping himself over the bed. “—oh.”

He’s always wondered – sometimes curiously, sometimes longingly – what it would be like to be in love, to hold someone’s hand like a lifeline, like his hands were made for it, like the atoms that created the world were waiting, holding their breath, for this beautiful moment of completion. Sure, he’s had crushes before, but they fizzled and faded before there was ever a chance of reciprocation, and then his life had been all law school and transitioning and flitting between apartments and friends and jobs just to stay afloat, how could he have ever made time for love?
Apollo Justice is investigating a crime scene, for Holy Mother's sake. This is not the time to fall in love with the prosecutor who holds his hand when he's scared of heights.
