Summary
After it’s all said and done, they pack up a U-Haul and move back to Florida.
Sapnap stays in California and sends them off with tears in his eyes that he’ll always claim was just the smoggy air getting to him. Dream hugs him one last time, and then once more for good measure as George gets into the passenger seat.
He'll miss him, miss LA, but they’re retired now and Los Angeles has just never scratched the itch of home like Florida always had.

Summary
George knows something is wrong the second he wakes up.
The room is warm, too warm for the frigid January outside his window. The mattress below him is softer than normal, the blankets piled on top of him silkier.
Slowly, he cracks one eye open.
Across from him, in a bed that is not his own, is a sleeping man.
“What the fuck,” He mutters to himself, anxiety surging through his body, “What the fuck,” His body springs into action, throwing himself out of the bed and tripping over his own feet as he crashes to the floor.
“George?” The other man asks, and George’s blood runs cold. He knows that voice. He would know that voice deaf, or underwater, or six feet underground.
“Dream?” His voice cracks.

Summary
You wonder if it’s agony, for Clay. Wanting someone—loving someone—who’s far away. So far away that not only is the ocean separating you, but a Goddamn global pandemic and the law, too. You’ve seen it frustrate him to no end when time separates you both from George, when occurrences happen that would just be better experienced in person, and when endless complications arise with George’s visa. And specifically after a slightly emotional call you both have with George that later causes Clay to punch the wall in the hallway and send Patches skittering out of sight.

It’s December when Dream realizes, with certainty, that he knows what love is.
It hadn’t been a mystery before. He wasn’t without love, necessarily. He was familiar with it in the way he was familiar with rain or the passing of Halley’s comet. It happened occasionally. Sometimes he saw it, felt it, was permitted to taste it.
But this is recent. There’s a tangibility with this. He lives in love now. He walks through it every day, can feel it when he moves, heavy and warm like a weight around him.
