Summary
Peter Parker was never bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager. Instead, he lost a few important people, grew up, and got a doctorate in molecular biology.
At twenty-eight, he took a job at Engels Biomedical, an institute specializing in experimental cancer treatment. Three months in, he learns the samples he's been working on don't come from a corpse.
They belong to a deeply scarred terminal patient, known as Subject 061, who is still somehow alive, existing in a limbo of incomplete regeneration.

Summary
When you are ten years old, you find two creatures, bloodied and injured, trapped a net on the beach near your home. You save them, make friends with them, and return them to the sea, leaving you to wonder later if your friends with the Sun colored scales and fins that shone like the full Moon were real or imagined up by a childhood of loneliess.
Time passes. You hear stories of monsters, Sirens in the water, one that is a good omen if spotted, promising your safe voyage as long as you respect the rules of the ocean, and one that sinks ships and eats people for fun. Just folktales meant to scare children.
A decade later, they return the favor, though they don't plan on leaving you so easily this time.

Summary
There's a new animatronic in the rebuilt PizzaPlex, or so everyone thinks. The star-bedecked singer appears at night, and only on the weekends. She sings in a way most of the animatronics are unaccustomed to, and DJ Music Man is one of the only bots who understands her for what she truly is.
During the day, she's just an ordinary, shy, and too-quiet woman who works in the backend of the PizzaPlex as a technician, taking care of DJ Music Man.
What happens when the Daycare Attendant, Sun (newly separated from Moon) is suddenly smitten with this "animatronic" in all her celestial glory.
