    Summary

    Skinner stepped back, allowing her room to breath, to move, but not enough room to slip past him. He leaned in,
    just the top part of his body curving over her. "Haven't you ever seen Looking for Mr. Goodbar, Agent Scully? I
    thought your last outing would have taught you the dangers of picking up strange men."

    Summary

    1955 was curling in on itself, desiccating like a pillbug. Summer had passed. Autumn was well underway, leaves browning and San Francisco fog creeping in denser all the time, when he’d got the call. Daniel Pierce, more perplexed than worried, asking if he’d spoken with Hawkeye lately, and if he had, did he know anything about—and BJ had asked him to repeat himself three times—about ghosts?

    ///

    Or: In October of 1955, Hawkeye and BJ reunite to search for the supernatural, among other intangibilities.

    Summary

    Hawkeye turned in his arms, setting his chin on his hands, his palms flat over BJ’s sternum.
    Their eyes met. BJ’s breath caught, his chest warming—God, was Hawkeye lovely. BJ told him so.
    “With this nose?” Hawkeye asked, crossing his eyes.

    Summary

    Stede Bonnet, recently divorced, returns to the town he once knew with a plan. He's got the house (older and more derelict than he remembers), he's got the bees (and the theoretical skill to keep them), and he's going to be(e) happy if it's the last thing he does. (Stede is, as it turns out, a bit miserable no matter how hard he tries.)
    Ed Teach has been keeping all of his various demos at bay more or less successfully for years now. He's known as THE beekeeper in town, always meticulous, always gentle, never too bothered with rules, expectations, or protective gear for that matter. (Ed is also, no matter how hard he tries, a bit bored at this point.)
