Summary
His birthday comes and goes. He sees his family, hangs out with friends, Sapnap comes over and they spend the entire weekend gorging on food and playing games together like they’re nineteen again. There’s a barrage of fanart and excited messages flooding his mentions, and while it’s a lot less than at the height of his career, it’s still enough to make his phone practically useless from how the notifs keep popping up.
George shoots Dream a text wishing him a happy birthday in the early morning. It stings like it does every year and that stubborn part of him, the one that’s been growing stronger, harder to ignore now that he’s been letting it get a voice inside Dr. Luz’s office, demands him to fix this.
There are a lot of things Dream wishes he had done differently, but the way he let George slip through his fingers is perhaps the one that haunts him the most.

George was born without a second gender, apparently.
Not that it matters much to him, it's not like he's missing out on a whole lot.
Sure, he'd like to be able to smell Dream's scent; to know him on that one deeper level that he simply can't access, but it's fine! He's just George and it's fine!
He can still pine after Dream wistfully without a second gender. He can still be hopelessly and helplessly in love. It's not like Dream's ever not been there for George when he needs him.
However, does that still apply when George gets sick in the most unexpected way possible?
Or; George is a late bloomer and that makes already messy feelings between him and Dream even more difficult to navigate.

It’s pathetic, really – how badly he wants to anchor himself to Fernando’s narrative, to become more than just another pit stop in his restless teammate’s career.
Despite the marriages and the parade of high-profile relationships, Fernando Alonso has never been in love. For a man who lives and breathes racing, both on and off the track, he’s always taken this as a feature, not a flaw. Yet there’s something disarmingly intimate about Lance’s insistence on combing through his life, as though the act itself could stitch him into it.

In eleven years you'll be above him in the championship rankings, but only because his car is shit and yours isn't, and everybody'll bloody well know it. You'll get the chance to maybe fuck him, but only because getting crashed out of one of his three home races on lap one kicked him right into stress heat and the alpha he actually wants there with him is stuck somewhere else. You won't even be having a particularly good hair day. How's that, little Lando Norris? Feeling good?

Summary
“What’s wrong with you?” Max snarls but doesn’t move. It makes Charles even more angry. He wants to see Max snaps, needs him to revert to the angry kid that ranted about him on camera, just so they could see eye to eye.
They have unresolved business. They will always have.
But Max is composed and Charles is fraying at the edges. Somehow, Max is always a step ahead.
or:
Charles finds it hard to be himself when all he do is hide, Max is confusing while horribly honest, and love is stored between a quarter of orange and a whisky cabinet. Somehow, it all comes together.
