Summary
For years, Nakajima Atsushi and Akutagawa Ryūnosuke have existed somewhere between allies and enemies.
Close enough to fight beside each other.
Too far apart to truly understand one another.
But when a mysterious anomaly begins distorting abilities across Yokohama, a single mistake leaves Beast Beneath the Moonlight and Rashōmon impossibly intertwined. The farther apart Atsushi and Akutagawa are, the more unstable their abilities become. The closer they remain, the harder it becomes to tell where one ends and the other begins.
Forced into an investigation that threatens the balance of the city itself, they uncover a truth more frightening than any enemy they’ve faced:
Abilities don’t lie.
And neither do the hearts that created them.

He turns back. He always turns back.
One collapsing warehouse, a stab wound, and a locked infirmary later, the line between hatred and desire finally snaps—forcing Atsushi and Akutagawa to confront the truth neither wants to admit: they’ve never known how to fight without falling for each other.

Summary
After the fall of the Decay of Angels, Atsushi Nakajima should be getting better.
Instead, he finds himself trapped in memories he thought he'd left behind.
A new ability user is stalking Yokohama, forcing victims to relive the moments that shaped them. For Atsushi, that means the orphanage. The cage. The Headmaster. The child who learned to survive by making himself small.
Everyone thinks he'll recover.
Everyone except Akutagawa.
Unfortunately, Akutagawa Ryūnosuke has noticed something is wrong.
Even more unfortunately, he seems determined to do something about it.
Or: A villain weaponizes trauma, Atsushi falls apart, Akutagawa stays, and neither of them is prepared for what comes after.

Summary
He was sure Akutagawa was dead. So, needless to say, everything that went down at the airport was quite a shock to the poor boy. He didn’t even have time to process Akutagawa’s momentary stint in vampirism, because they were soon fighting against another powerful enemy, just the two of them, once again. It had now been a week since everything had finally ended, since the Decay of Angels was finally defeated, and Atsushi hadn’t seen or heard from Akutagawa once. That is, until Atsushi saw him casually walking down the street, as if nothing had happened. So, yeah. Atsushi was more than a little pissed off. He wasn’t entirely sure what he was mad about, specifically, but there was no mistaking the burning sensation he felt in his chest the moment he locked eyes with the man who had literally died for him.

He just has to hope that Akutagawa won’t let him rot anyway.
