"I want to try dating... um..." He paused and spooned some more milk over the cereal. "Yeah," He decided when he couldn't figure out what to add. "I've been thinking about dating. I want to try." His reflection, Marc, said nothing. But the widening of his dark eyes communicated enough.
"Right," Steven coughed when the silence became too long for comfort. "That's all."
