Steve tucks his chin with a confused smile. "What are you talking about man?" He scoffs.

James is sure the team will prefer that Bucky—he’s way more fun, and Tony only likes James because of his metal arm anyway, right? …Right?
Although Steve comes off like a mulish jerk for a lot of this fic, by the end it’s clear he’s been trying his best while operating under some false assumptions Bucky deliberately let him keep instead of telling him the truth.
1943 Bucky’s assessment of the future was delightful, and his end goal of getting to date Tony Stark is adorable and holds through throughout the fan sequel. 🥰

Steve is the Man With A Plan—and a very healthy Kink Negotiation Kink, as he helps Tony navigate his humiliation kink and pin down the specifics of what he likes—with help from Bucky to stay on track and not immediately jump Tony for being sexy and blushing all pretty. Steve and his fountain pen get a lot further through his notebook's list of questions about Tony's kinks and hard limits (thanks to Bucky cockblocking when necessary to keep them on task), but as Steve progressively narrows down what gets Tony hot, it's only a matter of time before all the dirty talk and fantasy sharing and pleasure assessment gets all of Stuckony so hot and bothered that negotiations break down and playtime with Tony ensues.

Awesome fic, great premise, delightful execution—stellar from start to finish! If Shen Qingqiu’s body wound up shared with Shen Yuan rather than solely his, this is how I’d love it to happen. So good! 😆😍🥰
I enjoyed seeing scum villain Shen Qingqiu redeemed with help from Shen Yuan, and it’s sweet to see him learn to be less of an asshole and better at being a Peak Lord thanks to Shen Yuan’s influence and (to him) inexplicable affection for Shen Qingqiu despite his default state of Razor-Tongued Petty Bitch. I love the sibling relationship they develop—and it led to one Shen Qingqiu’s more amazing lines (he gets some badass mic drop moments with his sharp tongue and refusal to play nice and dance around issues!): as a both call to arms and truce declaration in service of rescuing Shen Yuan, he tells Liu Qingge, “I know you prefer my little brother. As it happens, so do I.” 😆😍😎
The writing style is spot-on for the novels, too, from characters to narrator voice to System shanigans. Perfection!
It was also delightful to see Happily Ever Afters I didn’t even think to hope for, thanks to Shen Yuan’s big heart and ingenuity! 🥰 Sometimes, a giant fic like this will have a great climax but disappointing denouement. This story did not have that problem. The ending was so satisfying and left me smiling with both joy and amusement. So good! If you like the meta revelry of SVSSS, you’ll enjoy this.
Bonus: The smut is better written and sounds enjoyable for all parties. 😅💞

Loooooooooove all the A/B/O biology and societal worldbuilding! So much! This would be a bookmark for that alone! It’s been fascinating seeing some canon events explained in part by A/B/O biology, too, like Steve’s massive popularity so young followed by his “fall from grace.” I also like the concept of changing one’s secondary gender from alpha to omega, or omega to alpha, and how arduous both are in their own ways, as well as seeing the benefits of trauma-presenting as an alpha or omega.
But all A/B/O biology and sociology geeking out aside, the writing’s great and I love this author’s ability to balance characters and complex relationship dynamics with tension and plotlines from two timelines. I also think it’s great how willing they are to let things change for the worse in unexpected ways, and despite everyone’s best efforts and intentions. There are points where Steve seems too naive for the decisions he’s making, but they’re still understandable because he’s operating under the assumption that he’ll present as an alpha, like before, whereas I know he’s in a Steddie romance fic, Eddie is his alpha, and all the signs point to Steve presenting as an omega this time around. Anyway, a great fic shaping up to be an even greater fic as things progress! 😍🥰

Excellent! Steve winds up privy to all Eddie’s fantasies about him, and I especially love Steve’s internal monologue and pissyness about Dream Steve being mean to Eddie and keeping both Steves from getting railed by and/or sucking Eddie’s dick. 😆😈🥰 And lol Murray’s Talk with Eddie was another hilarious standout moment. Asmodeus was surprisingly great too. All around fun read!
Fic is complete, but I’m subscribing in case the author returns to write a new-status-quo smut scene (ie., one where Steddie are finally on the same page), or grants my desperate wish to see a full Vampire/Vampire Hunter smut fantasy where Steve and Eddie go to town with that aphrodisiac vampire saliva. 😈😍
