That was when another soldier stepped closer, clearing his throat to gain the captain’s attention. “Chris, that man is a wanted insurgent.”
The voice was what Jake recognized first. For a split second his brain screeched to a halt before rebooting again, trying to place the familiar voice into the current context. Curiously he turned to look at the soldier, even as he pretended to be nonchalant and disinterested in the entire proceedings. He crossed his arms across his chest, leaned back against the car he’d been standing next to, and then finally understanding dawned on him.
He should’ve recognized those lips the second he saw them, he thought.

Leon stared into those disturbingly familiar eyes again–growing ever closer, attached to a furry body that had to be at least seven feet tall when walking on two feet–and came to a realization that left him feeling equal parts shocked and indignant. “Chris?” he hissed out, lowering the gun when the creature ducked its head and whined quietly. “Are you fucking kidding me right now?”
Another whine, and there were paws–no, they were more like hands, albeit the size of tennis rackets–on Leon’s shoulders, hot like brands through his clothes and body armor. Before Leon could react to that, there was something wet and slightly rough dragging over his cheek.
He was being licked.
Chris was licking him.
(AKA the one where Leon is sent on a simple rescue mission... but nothing is ever simple. Featuring werewolf!infected!Chris.)

“Hey!” Chris all but snarled, getting into Leon’s space, the muzzle of the Silver Ghost pressed up tight against the body armor he wore. He didn’t seem to notice or care, reaching up to yank his nose back into joint–the tears in his eyes were there long before then, even if the pain was the thing that made them spill. “Would you shut up for a second? I thought–”
“I don’t give a shit what you think.” Leon holstered his gun–it had become obvious he wasn’t going to use it, despite the fact that he was practically blistering with rage and hurt. His fingers wrapped around the hilt of his knife instead… not the combat knife on his chest that Marvin had given him all those years ago, but the one at his waist that he hardly ever drew. The one from Krauser. “Get the fuck out of my face, Redfield. Or I’ll make you.”
“You’ll make me?” Chris repeated, incredulous. Asshole. He eyed the hand Leon had on his knife, features contorting. He looked a little older, a bit more rough around the edges, but still achingly familiar and aggravatingly gorgeous. “Go ahead. Because as pissed off as you are, I don’t think you will.”
