Eddie pulls the shirt over his head and tosses it to the side. Steve stares unabashedly at the now-exposed tattoos, the soft give of Eddie’s stomach, the metal bars through his nipples, the dark hair of his happy trail. “You’re so beautiful.” He murmurs, running his fingers softly over his sides.
A faint flush grows on Eddie’s cheeks. “You’re one to talk.”

She knows. Of course she knows. Still, she leans her head against his shoulder and replies, “I couldn’t sleep."

He tilts his cheek up, daring Roy to slap it again, and gets what he's asked for. Roy keeps to the same cheek, wanting to see the difference between the two as it pinks up. It's fucking sublime, it's fucking art, like a torn-up rose, like that painting that shredded itself right after being sold, like Roy's fucking knee. Nothing's perfect until it's not anymore.

The place looks the same as it always does. The entryway is like the lobby of a fancy opera house, decorated in the opulence of days long past. Will isn't wearing anything to hide his identity, but many are. Some in plain masks that cover the upper half of their face, some a veil, some wearing coverings more fitting at a masquerade.
Will would stop to admire them, but he has somewhere to be.
