Summary
While I do enjoy tickling the ivories for hours at a time, and have occasionally fancied that a bit of tricky finger-work was carried out so adeptly as to bring the house down, this was in the way of being a metaphor.

'I know it's not quite the thing, Jeeves, but the Wooster frame has been described as "willowy" by more than one party. Surely we both might fit.'
'Sir,' Jeeves began.
'Pish, I'll hear no more of it,' I said, with all the imperiousness that the old ancestors at Agincourt must have possessed.
'Sir, I really must protest--'
He had a mulish set to his jaw that I am well-acquainted with, for when two men of indomitable will cohabitate, these little disagreements will rear their head from time to time. Still, I fancy I have learnt a thing or two about Jeeves, namely that if sound logic and persuasive arguments will gain me no ground, then sometimes abject pleading and a complete abandonment of manly pride may yield results. 'Please,' I said quietly. 'I won't rest well otherwise.'

Summary
When Alfie really concentrates on those nights the strange image appears in his memory - Tommy’s eyes watery and glistening in the orange light of his bedside lamp, gentle hand wiping away the sweat from his forehead, followed by a long and soft press of the lips, where the towel just was - “Idiot,” Alfie mutters then, “probably contagious."

Bookmarker's Notes
“Do you need anything?” Tommy asks, shaking his leg as he flips the page of the newspaper - a luxury no one else gets to see, Alfie's certain, and everyone who saw him showing that level of nervousness were probably shot in place. The tone of his voice is, however, annoyed, like he’s too busy exposing his anxiety and - at the same time hiding it with a task in hand - to bother, get up and do whatever Alfie might ask him to do.

Arthur has a list in his head of Reasons Why He Loves Merlin. There are currently 327 reasons on that list and they include things like, “He looks slightly deranged when he smiles” and “He buys me little plastic knights to go with my collection” and “He once brought home a stray cat and tried to hide it in his room without me finding out”.

But then he finds a plastic knight on his dresser with a purple post-it note stuck to its tiny, little feet. Arthur has to squint to make out what Merlin wrote because his writing is small and cramped.
Found this and thought of you. ALL HAIL KING ARTHUR!
Now, if only I could find a magician action figure. Do you know how difficult it is to find a proper magician action figure?? Then you’ll have an Arthur and a Merlin! :DAnd he actually wrote the grinning face.
Arthur looks at the tiny sword in the knight’s hand and feels himself fall in love with Merlin all over again.
The sad thing is that this happens daily.

Summary
“So I was telling the story about how I once got lost in the supermarket and tripped over the cart an employee had left out and ended up smashing all of the eggs in the cooler,” Merlin began conversationally, as if this were something that happened to everyone every day and not just him.
Arthur snorted, but otherwise didn’t move.
“Which, as you might recall, is my transition to putting your picture up and saying, very mockingly, I’m sure you’re wondering how I landed such a babe.”

Summary
They weren’t out of the woods yet, Lancelot thought as he numbly started pumping against the man’s chest; if he had water in his lungs…any at all…he’d only been in the water for a moment before Lancelot had caught him, but it had been a struggle to get to shore and Lancelot may have done something wrong, something irreversible…
Lancelot was just about to ask for a little help when Merlin’s voice, strangled and shaky, interrupted.
“Arthur?”
