“Do you need anything?” Tommy asks, shaking his leg as he flips the page of the newspaper - a luxury no one else gets to see, Alfie's certain, and everyone who saw him showing that level of nervousness were probably shot in place. The tone of his voice is, however, annoyed, like he’s too busy exposing his anxiety and - at the same time hiding it with a task in hand - to bother, get up and do whatever Alfie might ask him to do.

Found this and thought of you. ALL HAIL KING ARTHUR!
Now, if only I could find a magician action figure. Do you know how difficult it is to find a proper magician action figure?? Then you’ll have an Arthur and a Merlin! :DAnd he actually wrote the grinning face.
Arthur looks at the tiny sword in the knight’s hand and feels himself fall in love with Merlin all over again.
The sad thing is that this happens daily.

“That I love you?” Peter says, suddenly angry. “Let them. I’m not ashamed of this. I’m not ashamed of you.”

“Code for ugly,” Carmichael said in an audible stage whisper.
Ilya glowered at him. “Is smokeshow,” he said fiercely. “So beautiful. You would have all been distracted if I pointed her out, that is why I could say nothing. You would not be able to take your eyes off her, and then I would have had to defend her honor and put my skates through your eyeball, and it’s a mess then, the ice is all bloody.”

Come on.” And without saying anything else he’d turned and begun to climb up the grassy bank to the road. “Come on,” he had said, and for some reason Ilya had followed him. Possibly it had been the bossy way he spoke, like someone who was used to issuing orders that other people were too stupid not to follow; Ilya had been trained since he was a small child by a series of camps and coaches to respond to this type of authority. Alternatively, it had been the tiny little shorts the doctor had been wearing.
