Lizzie sighed, crossing her arms, a form of resignation. Joel placed a hand on her shoulder, though he had to stand to do so. They exchanged some words that Jimmy hoped were of good will before sitting back down in their respective seats.
“If that is all settled, then GeminiTay and Solidarity will be sent over to visit Rivendell in the morning. I hope you two can spend the night here and we can prepare together?” Katherine glanced towards the two and Jimmy scrambled to nod, not realizing she had been talking to him.
“Then that is all, I declare this meeting over. Solidarity and GeminiTay can return to their empires momentarily to pick some things up if needed."

Here’s how Grace found himself banging his head gently on the glass. Maybe that shaking his brain like a magic 8-ball would let it land on an affirmative and unlock the memories kept snug next to the spiderwebs and dust. Spoiler alert: it didn’t.
Rocky’s… dodecahedron-shaped ball rolled up to him and stopped a couple of meters away. Grace could feel the weight of his stare (Rocky had no eyes), and the terrible judgement it held (Rocky still had no eyes.).
“What are you doing, question?”
“Thinking”, Grace replied laconically, for once.
“Waste of energy”, quipped the Eridian, shaking one of his legs in Grace’s direction as though pointing a finger, “better ask Rocky.”

Stratt’s words echo in Ryland’s head. He is huddled on top of a building surrounded by satellite dishes, curling up as small as he can make himself, legs pulled up to his chest, arms slung around them, head buried in his knees. He must look pretty pathetic but no one will see him up here and even if they did, he’s kind of over it. They just asked him to die, he deserves a bit of a mental breakdown, thank you very much.
