Summary
Martin has one job. One, ultra-important, life-affirming purpose assigned by the deity who saved him when he needed it most. All Martin has to do to stop the apocalypse and fulfill his purpose is protect the Archivist at all costs. Unfortunately for Martin and his deity, this job is turning out to be much harder than he anticipated. Jonathan Sims the new Archivist seems to have a special knack for getting himself into trouble and little talent in escaping it.
Martin definitely has his work cut out for him.

Besides, what if it’s Tim?

"Can the twitch of a spider's legs change the course of a story?"
Martin Blackwood encounters the supernatural before he gets a job at the Magnus Institute. Used to having only spiders as his friends, he's surprised when he forms close bonds with Sasha, Jon, and Tim. Yet there's something bigger at play. Martin is already vaguely aware of this, but it becomes clearer after the four of them transfer to the Archives. Forced to face killer worms, apocalypse cults, and threats far too close to home, Martin ends up grappling with his humanity. If it's to protect his friends, what does it matter what he becomes? The silk calls to him, after all.

"Oh, shut up," the doppelganger said, crying and laughing. He looked like Martin, but that couldn't be right because Martin was watching this all unfold. "Now, I'm sorry to just pop in, but I have no clue how long I was in the halls - yes, I know you know - so I'm probably about to pass out. Sorry."
True to his word, he slumped down against the wall. Somewhere, a tape recorder clicked off.
"Alright," Tim said when the silence got uncomfortable, "We're not going to try and pretend that wasn't supernatural, right?"

I hope you find your new role as Head of the Institute as rewarding as captaining the Tundra, wrote Elias Bouchard, to Peter Lukas. There are so many people working there: all with their own interesting lives, and all desiring your attention and support. I'm sure you will relish the challenge it will bring and enjoy every moment spent with the fine men and women of the Institute. In time I'm confident they'll become like a family to you.
The Magnus Institute has a new boss.
The Magnus Institute also has a new tech support technician.
These two facts are unrelated, except they both happen at the same time.Meanwhile Jon's woken up from being dead for six months and for once he's trying his best. He just wishes Martin would stop avoiding him and answer his messages...

After the events of the Panopticon, Martin and Jon hoped to end up Somewhere Else.
Luckily, becoming the Pupil of the Eye in Jonahs place gave Jon more power than he'd expected, and what is time but another thread of tape to pull and wrest into control?

“Are you alright?” he asks gently.
Jon wants to laugh. He does laugh, all dry and hoarse and devoid of humor. “No, Martin, it’s Tuesday. It’s only ever been Tuesday!” Each word climbs in pitch until he’s bordering on hysterics, throwing his hands out because there’s nothing else he can think to do with them. “Who's to say it won’t be Tuesday for the rest of eternity!”
Martin looks at him, all pity and no rationality, and says thoughtfully, unhelpfully, “Well...I mean hey. It could be worse!” He even manages a smile. “Could be a Monday.”Jon gets roped into doing followup with Martin on a very particular case about a very particular house. And then he gets roped in again. And again. And again.
Probably just needs a lot of followup...right? -

Summary
Months after the Prentiss attack, Martin Blackwood is having a bad day.
Relationships among his coworkers have fallen apart, their boss is stalking them, and no one can quite shake the feeling that danger is still close by. Martin's doing his best to hold everyone together, but tea and sympathy aren't working like they used to. The sole bright spot is that it's much easier to have a crush on Jon now that he's decided Martin isn't a murderer. Mostly, though, Martin's just glad to make it through the day...
...until he wakes up and has to live the same bad day all over again.
Martin finds himself caught in a loop, reliving the 19th November over and over again, struggling to understand why this is happening and what he has to do to get out. His dear coworker Sasha is acting very strange, spiders keep crawling over everything, and at the center of it all is a man with long, sharp hands, who might be to blame... or might be the key to escaping all of this.
(Or: Michael, Not-Sasha, and Annabelle have a three-sided tug-of-war over Martin's brain, while Martin hooks up with the guy who got him into this mess and keeps trying to Fifty-First-Dates his boss.)

Summary
Two otherworldly, unknowable Entities decided to make a bet. Or is that some kind of projection? They can't make bets, right? They probably don't even know how to play games like poker or blackjack. They probably don't care about what a playing card is. Probably. Who knows? They're unknowable.
All Jon knows is that he's not a fan of the apocalypse, and apparently neither the Eye nor the Web are, too. He wants to understand, but he wants to fix things more. So he can hold off on asking questions, at least until his people are safe.
So when he's sent back in time, given another chance, he's not going to make the same mistakes twice.
No more apocalypse.
