Fangs stained red, Yuma would cradle the memory of who they’d been with claws lined with mottled fur. Mutually assured destruction had sounded wonderful. If he was with Taki.
The time loop isn't really the problem. It's an issue, sure, but Takayama Riki is back in town, years after he'd disappeared from his life, and Yuma doesn't know what to do.

It would be so easy to turn around. Euijoo has had this thought for a while now, ever since he realized that it's hopeless, that there's no way out of this cycle. It would be so easy to turn around and finally embrace Nicholas after all this time, even if it meant damning him— hasn't he been damned already? Euijoo has played by the rules over and over, and each time Nicholas is dragged back into the depths of the cave anyway; it has become clear that Euijoo cannot save him.
