Kaveh’s mouth opens a couple of times but no sound comes out, his cheeks are burning red and he looks slightly panicked, but when he finally speaks, his voice is small and timid, “what if— what if I need to stay for a very long time?”
“Then stay for a very long time, nobody’s using the spare room anyways,” Alhaitham avoids his eye, but it doesn’t stop Kaveh from taking a step forward, and with this single step he’s gotten very close; too close. Alhaitham is afraid he might read too much in between his excuses and dishonesties.
“What if I want to stay forever?” he tugs on Alhaitham’s glove.
Fuck.
The morning after getting together gets a little intense.

If Yanfei wants to find the truth, she has to navigate through Fontaine's wacky legal system and find the contradictions in every testimony! Witnesses to be cross-examined include Kaveh, Al Haitham (obviously), and other..."peculiar" entities.
Fans of Ace Attorney will recognize the many references, gimmicks, breakdowns, tropes, etc usually found in the main series. Genshin Fan will appreciate the references made to gameplay and character interactions.
Note: Work-in-progress. Chp 1-5 are finished. Chp 4's first half and Chp 6 onwards is brainstorm dumping in case I don't finish this because murder mysteries take a lot of thought and time to write lol.

Kim Dokja truly believed that he was cursed.
After finishing reading the turn novel "The Sure Way to Ascend the Throne", feelings of hatred flooded his being, and empathy flooded his heart towards the villain of the novel, the guild leader and son of the duchy kim, the Demon King of Salvation. A person who life turned his back on from birth, who learned to live on his own and who definitely, for Dokja, did not deserve to have the ending he did.
The lack of affection for his parents, the humiliation of being surrounded by imperial guards and the tearful suicide, a death that even the readers applauded. He thought, day after day, how he would change the novel, if he were the demon king, he would definitely not beg for his father's love, he would conclude the rebellion and cut off the emperor's head.
But he did not think that, he would actually transmigrate, to become the demon king of salvation and change his story.
