Tenna sat on his heels, balling fists into his lap. Thank god the backstage shadows worked in his favor. Also worked against him, too, because he couldn’t tell if Mettaton glanced back. To thank him, to ask if he was okay. Maybe offer another smile, just because. In a matter of seconds, Mettaton marched off, flanked by crew members for final preparations. Talkback reached Tenna: sixty seconds until Mettaton went live.
Of course. Almost showtime. No reason to pull his star performer aside and... ugh, do something dumber than whatever bullshit he pulled off. Snarling past a mouthful of static, Tenna rose and excused himself. Needed to make the rounds backstage and ensure everything ran without a hitch. You know, do his damn job in the Dark World. And not fixate on the fresh memories branded in his circuits.
Easier said than done. Fucking hell, it always was.
An unfortunate accident occurs before Mettaton’s debut performance, leaving two possible outcomes once the curtain falls: he’ll leave TV World and Tenna for good or he’ll ask to pick up where they left off. Luck’s never been on his side, but Tenna hopes it’s the latter. He really, really, really does.

“What, pray tell, are you doing in my office?” Carol interrogates, flicking her head to one side with a stubborn showcase of her attitude.
And yet Toriel doesn’t falter. She never does.
“You invited me in,” she retorts. “You tell me.”
Toriel shows up at Carol's office late into the evening. This is not unusual for them.

After acquiring a corporeal body in the Dark World, Mettaton yearns to put his new legs to good use. Quite the tall order, considering he doesn’t know how, but Tenna is more happy to teach him, no matter how long it takes.

So Tenna waited as he shrugged off his royal garb. Definitely never tired of that show.
“Alright, handsome,” he said upon settling into bed. “What do you have for me tonight?”
Tenna watches the one who saved him rise to fame, then power. The least he can do in return is keep the king thoroughly entertained.

“I don’t know what to do, he didn’t even seem like.. upset, when I told him I was leaving for a month. A month! Does he even care?” He continued to ramble into his phone, pacing around his hotel room. It was a nice enough room, it had an amazing view, a large flatscreen and even a small kitchen (not that Mettaton was one to do any cooking). But he just couldn’t get into it. He hadn’t even unpacked into the luxurious walk in closet, instead choosing to keep his clothes in his multiple suitcases. The bed was too big, it just made him feel more alone, like someone was meant to share it with him.
If Mettaton was here filming a few months ago, he probably would have filled the gargantuan bed with an attractive Parisian fling immediately. But now, after the Anthony Tenna swept him off his feet (literally), he hadn’t sought out anyone besides the older man.

Anthony used to have people scream for him. Maybe not for a display as vulgar as this, but didn’t that prove how much better he was? He didn’t need to parade around a perfect body with ample curves to garner attention like Mettaton did. Anthony used his wit to draw in a crowd, while Mettaton abused the power of long legs, amplified by a dramatic pair of pumps.
He found himself drifting toward the makeshift stage that Mettaton had commandeered. For what reason? His brain didn’t supply an answer to that.
He just.. needed to be closer.
