"You said once that bloodletting would work right?"
Once, what feels like 1,000 years ago. Said casually against his skin in the middle of the night, Tyler shuddered at the thought of it at the time. Fear and revulsion made the other option Josh was proposing all the more enticing. The reminder of that night leaves an impression in the pit of his stomach. Tyler ignores it.
Josh looks downright desperately hungry now. A flash of fear and the arousal that's been conditioned to go with it grasps him. Josh is watching him carefully like he can sense Tyler’s fighting something off.
Or
After Tyler tells Jenna about him and Josh he's sworn off having sex for good. That still leaves the question of feeding Josh, he makes it work until it doesn't. And Josh becomes increasingly aware of the bits of humanity that have been creeping up on him. It doesn't mean anything though, does it?

Josh lets out a low, satisfied hum. “Do it now, go slow.” Tyler drags in a rough, terrified breath and Josh watches as he takes himself in a loose fist. “Good.” Josh encourages. Tyler twitches nervously at his voice.
Josh slides his nose across his cheek, Tyler closes his eyes and heaves another shaking breath. Josh imagines the arousal coiling in the pit of his belly mixing with the waves of fear rolling up his skin combining into a sick cocktail of butterflies with razor-sharp wings stirring beneath his skin.
Josh’s mouth is watering he can smell it off the mortal so accurately, it’s as if he’s feeling it himself. “Good,” he praises Tyler’s mouth drops open, his eyebrows pulling together. His face is the picture of bliss and sweet agony. Josh stares, imprinting the image into his mind.
