Neil Josten was not a superhero. He just had a very bad habit of being in the wrong place at the right time.
Jean Moreau was not a sidekick or a hero. He was just trying to get through the day.[jeaneil superpower au]

Andrew Minyard is as good as a ghost.
Only this is a deathbed story, so Andrew Minyard isn’t really a ghost yet. Deathbed stories rarely begin with death- it's always at the end. He just tries to play the part, even if the shoe doesn’t quite fit right.

Sex isn’t exactly what riles Alhaitham up. More precisely, it’s how Kaveh reacts to it.

Summary
Kaveh is most dangerous at night, in the dark. He’s most dangerous when Al-Haitham is at his most human, sleep-worn and drowsy state, with his headpiece turned off for the day and laying across the room on his dresser and his ears left defenseless to Kaveh’s crooning.
Kaveh keeps coming into Al-Haitham's room when he's drunk and Al-Haitham is at his limit

Summary
They looked so alike, Alhaitham thought, seeing Kaveh’s and his father’s smiles side by side, even if Kaveh could not see it for himself. Kaveh’s father glanced over at his son then, nodding along to his son’s explanations of the dream palace he’d one day build, and the gaze he wore on his face was infinitely, infinitely warm and proud, like the soundless passing of a flame from one torch to another.
Alhaitham can see ghosts. It is oftentimes a curse but sometimes, on a few occasions, also a blessing.

Summary
“Welcome home,” Alhaitham says distractedly, staring in contemplation at the child next to Kaveh.
The child looks like an exact but smaller copy of Kaveh – vibrant red eyes gleaming with wondrous curiosity, the same long lashes, and the characteristically unruly blonde hair, clumsily held back by two red clips that appear too large for the child’s head. When Kaveh turns around briefly to set his bags down, Alhaitham notices two red clips missing from his own hair.
When Kaveh returns from his desert expedition, he returns with his five-year-old self in tow.
