If the Spiral was the Web, and it planned things out meticulously instead of embracing the pure chaos of our indescribable universe, it would have chosen Michael Shelley all along. People who met Michael, in his heyday, or what could pass for a ‘heyday’ when you hated your life and almost wanted to die, thought that he looked nonthreatening and far too kind. The type of fellow that has nothing under the surface. He was the type of person to ask others what their favorite shape was, and if you asked him what his was (though most didn’t), he’d say a heart or a circle, because those shapes were nice and peaceful and he wanted people to like him and people liked him when he was nice and peaceful and they didn’t like him when he talked about the parts of him that weren’t nice and peaceful, so he never said his favorite shape was a spiral.
Michael Shelley meets Gerard Keay when working as an assistant. They hit it off, of course they do, and they suffer together from hallucinations and an undiagnosed brain tumor, respectively. But they're happy! And then... Michael has to take a trip to Russia.

Welcome to the god au! I am back to start a new long fic, lets hope it doesnt get out of hand again.
Peter yawns and rubs at his eyes tiredly, there had been a war recently and a lot of souls had to pass through his realm to cross the ocean towards their respectives afterlives. It meant that he had to pay attention to the souls dropping by around the beach so he could send those supposed to go into reincarnation to the waterfall hidden behind the tree-line.
He doesn't really want to get out of his bed, he was warm and comfortable for once, Simon came by recently and dropped lots of soft and warm fabrics so he could use them for his bed. As much as the hammock was fun it was very cold and its not like the ship he currently lived in was very good at keeping him warm.

Summary
'Something crashes into the fence at the bottom of the garden, making the hanging baskets of dried-up flowers that Jon hasn't had the presence of mind to remove sway against the wood. He thumbs the tape recorder off and shoves it into the pocket of his jacket, finding his feet on the patio. The penknife feels pitifully miniscule in his fingers, so he exchanges it for the pipe.
More banging, and one of the fence panels starts to buckle, the wood splintering in sharp snaps.
'Hello?' Jon calls out, finding his tone strangely polite even now, devoid of either the fear or the righteous anger he feels. 'Are you-?'
Alive? A person?'
Or, the one with all the zombies.

Summary
Michael finds itself flung back in time to before Michael Shelley was sacrificed to the Great Twisting. Great! It can fix what happened, right? The spiral-incarnate can make a good simple plan that works, right?

In all the years - again, time is such a silly concept - Michael has been the distortion, even pulling memories from before it was Michael and Michael was it, it had never been able to go *backward* in time. It could go forward, it could send people into states of warped time. It could change time as it happened. But it couldn’t reverse it. It could never reverse it.
So then how is it 10 years before when it died?
“No!” It spits out, nearly terrified. Gerry’s eyes go back to the brick wall. “I-“ Michael thinks about its words. “I don’t know why she chose him. He didn’t deserve it. Doesn’t. I… I needed to remind myself that he doesn’t deserve it.”
Michael takes a steadying breath.
“And I need to do something to stop it.”
Gerry is ripe with questions, Michael is sure of it. Gerry always was too curious for his own good.
