Summary

As Ed located the crew, a chilling realization set in—Stede was nowhere to be found. They would soon discover that Stede had been kidnapped by Prince Ricky, who had gone mad after his encounter with Spanish Jackie. The question loomed: could the crew rescue their Captain in time, and what fate awaited Stede?

Summary
Ed and Jim are both new to this whole “committed relationship” thing, but apparently people in relationships get each other gifts. A difficult task when one has no idea what they’re doing.
People in love – at least, people from Stede’s world who are in love – get each other gifts. This is a newly learned fact for Ed, but it is a fact nonetheless. Mary got Stede gifts. Mary got Stede many gifts. The lighthouse painting still hanging in their shared captains’ quarters, that was a gift from Mary. Stede has half of a petrified orange beside their bed, a gift from his daughter.
Stede owns nothing of Ed’s. Ed has given Stede nothing.
This may, he realizes with dread, have been an oversight.

Summary
In a world where alphas are second-rate citizens, Ed Teach, a more or less retired omega lives alone in a cozy house that is all his own. He hasn’t dated in years, not since he got out of an abusive relationship with his ex, Jack. He has some health issues that keep cropping up and he knows he will eventually have to deal with them, even if it means getting an alpha.
One day, while checking the classifieds for parts for his boat, Ed finds an ad about an alpha for sale. On a whim, he calls and finds himself with an alpha of his own in the next three hours. Stede is not what he was expecting, but there’s something about the sweet, most likely traumatized alpha that makes Ed want to keep him, even if it’s just to make sure he’s finally taken care of.
Let’s be real, they’re gonna fall in love and heal each other, and be all the better for it. ❤️

Still, his mother had always impressed on him the importance of being a good host, and it's not like the company is unwelcome, just unexpected. When he realises that he and Clint have neurosis in common, well, it has to be the start of a beautiful friendship.
