Namor speaks of waves large enough to consume entire cities, of storms that can sink the strongest ships, the peril of its vastness and its promise of isolation.
"That's not why I was scared."
Namor props himself up on his elbows to stare down at her. "What scared you, Princess?"
Shuri opens her eyes. There is a coy smile twitching at the corner of his lips. His eyes have darkened, reminding Shuri of a black hole, dark as they were endless, eager to devour.
You know, she thinks, you know exactly what.

M'Baku holds the throne until T'Challa and Nakia's son is ready. For the first time in her life, she has nowhere to go, nowhere where she was needed. Aimless and lost, she spends lonely months in Haiti until a new threat pulls her back into the political arena and trapped in Talokan once again.

The Elder's brows furrowed. "Am I understanding you correctly, Princess? That your suggestion for strengthening our alliance is arranged marriages between our available tribal leaders and theirs?"
Shuri smiled, a forced twisted thing. "Not quite, Elder. My suggestion for strengthening this alliance is an arranged marriage between K’uk’ulkan and me."

A memory of flames licking at the pillars of the throne room on the ancestral plane, N’Jadaka’s mouth curled in a mocking sneer, filled Shuri’s memory. Fire and earth. “You were happy to die at my hands,” she echoed, the skin on her arms pebbling as a shiver ran through her.
“Yes. But I only wished for one thing, and I had not gotten it before my death. So I was glad you showed mercy in the end.”
“And what did you wish for?” Shuri asked, advancing on him from the bed. “Your people swimming up the river to break Wakanda’s borders? An empire of blood against all other nations in the world?”
“I wished,” said Namor very quietly, watching her and not moving, “to hear you say my name.”

Shuri, who has given up the throne of Wakanda, has a lot of time to think in Haiti about the future of Wakanda. Fortunately, someone else is more than happy to offer some assistance, but when new developments arise, she and Namor of Talokan must forge a tentative alliance while navigating a more treacherous sea than either of them expected.

It hits Karen suddenly, an image jumping out of an impressionist painting. She hadn't even been looking for the meaning of it all. But now here she was, and she felt good, figuring it out. She felt good and she felt confidant, and she was going to do all the things she'd been wanting to do for so long. But it felt a little bit like hubris too.

They played Alyce “Dunc” Duncan and Roman Webber -- enemies who become begrudging friends and eventually fall in love.
Their chemistry on the show is off-the-charts, and Jaime and Brienne soon become "Westerosi’s" it-couple. However in real life, the two barely tolerate each other -- and that’s on a good day. Not surprisingly, when their term on the show is up, they part ways expecting never to speak again.
Flash forward to ten years after their final show. Jaime is involved in a horrific car crash. During a night of black despair, he calls Brienne. She is shocked. And suspicious. And doesn’t know what to say. Because they despise each other. They utterly and completely despise each other. Well … don’t they?
