    Summary

This is an old idea that has been living in my head for years: what would have happened if Thrawn had joined the Rebellion instead of the Empire?

Then I took the idea a little further.

The Empire has been defeated. Thrawn has returned from his second exile beyond the edge of the galaxy — and yes, I will be ignoring roughly 95% of what happens in the Ahsoka series, sorry — only to find the New Republic doing… well, what the New Republic does in Ahsoka. That remaining 5% I am keeping.

And Thrawn, being Thrawn, looks at the fragile, idealistic, politically tangled New Republic and reaches the only conclusion that makes sense to him: someone needs to impose military order before the galaxy collapses into something worse.

This fic will explore that very inconvenient premise.

Since I have other projects currently in progress, this story will not have a regular posting schedule. I will update it as the idea grows.

This fic updates on weekends, and has a side/companion fic showing scenes which provide further insight in the plot: Matters Adjacent

This is what happens the brilliance of the characters and stories met the brilliance of their creators. NO, NOT the canon!

    Summary

In the far reaches of the Unknown Regions, Grand Admiral Thrawn builds something new.
Half Chiss, half Imperial, the Empire of the Hand is more than a fleet—it’s an experiment in balance: art as strategy, logic as faith, loyalty as geometry.

From nebular battles painted in color and silence to alliances forged through language and pattern, Thrawn, Eli Vanto, Stent, and Commodore Parck learn what it truly means to see.
But when old empires return and loyalties fracture, even the most perfect design must endure tension—or shatter.

A story about order, understanding, and the patterns that hold us together. The art of command. The art of belief. The art of loyalty.

    Summary

    “Who is he?” Ezra asked.

    “Who?” Thrawn asked.

Ezra chewed his words. The Force tugged at the corners of his mind, showing him once again those hints of companionship locked inside Thrawn’s mind — those hints of love, if someone like Thrawn could feel love.

“That guy you keep dreaming about,” he said finally. And even though Thrawn looked ill, he forced himself to say it: “Eli.”

    Summary

On October 1, 1918, Eli Vanto slips away from the celebrations of his men and walks the beach at Damascus, caring for the dead bodies of Turkish soldiers killed in the siege.

Only one of those men, unconscious and wounded and left to die, is still breathing.

And he's wearing the white uniform of an enemy admiral.
