Nicholas swallows. Nods. He hops onto the chair, scooting back so he’s not slouching. “It’s not the needle, necessarily. It's the… puncturing?” He squeezes one eye shut after the word leaves his mouth. His charm output is clearly lacking tonight.
Euijoo hums, dropping into a stool. He rolls over to get his tools set up, looking up through his lashes at Nicholas. “The penetration,” he says seriously.

Nicholas steps over, paw pads silent against the hardwood. He rests his head on Euijoo’s chest, wraps his arms around his middle and sighs softly. Euijoo’s breath catches in his throat and the stinging in his eyes makes it hard to see straight. But the feline doesn’t let go, rubbing his cheek against Euijoo’s sternum. “Don’t make it a big deal.”
Euijoo will come to learn what all it entails. For now, he assumes it means Nicholas’ affection. It’s tough, but Euijoo will comply. “Okay. I won’t.”It's the twenty-third century. Felines live almost normally amongst humans. In Euijoo's case it means sharing a house with one by the name of Nicholas.

But looking at Euijoo, across from him in the dim halo of Taipei’s streetlights, eyes soft and smile steady, something in his chest cracked open. There was no perfect moment. There was only this one.
“Lets get married." The words slipped out before he could catch them.
Euijoo blinked. “What?”
Nicholas sat up straighter, eyes wide, like he couldn’t believe he’d actually said it.

Kiss and make up.” He tilts their faces toward each other. “For me?” he adds, with the kind of smile that’s too earnest to be manipulative but too devastating not to feel like blackmail.
