“Darling, you grew up.” He says smiling, brushing back a soft chestnut curl with his shaky wrinkled hand.
She takes his other hand in hers and smiles, “I did.”
"It's a shame, it’s awful being a grown up.”
She strokes the back of his pale hand and he looks around the empty room, a single yellow light placed right above the bed shines on the two of them. He turns over and meets his daughter's wet eyes.
“Did we do it?” He whispers, voice withering. “Did we save the world?”

Fitz removed his arm from Jemma's waist and instead held her shoulder. He looked into her tired eyes and gave her a questioning look. Maybe he had miss heard.
She took a shuddering breath. "I mean...before...before all of this, before what happened to me. Do you still...miss her?"
Fitz gulped and sat straight upright. He turned his body to face her but avoided her desperate eyes.
"Wha-what do you mean?" Fitz asked.
He knew exactly what she meant.

“C’mon Simmons, let’s get you cleaned up,” Daisy says, holding out a hand to her. Instantly, she’s panicking, not wanting the other woman to see her in such a state of vulnerability. She’s gotten so used to fighting for her life every moment of each day that she’s terrified of letting anyone see her weak. Bathing makes her vulnerable. And she’s exhausted, the part of her brain no longer in fight or flight mode coming to terms with realising the base is a safe space – somewhere that she will actually be able to sleep for the first time in ages. But that doesn’t make her anymore keen on having anyone see her in such a state. She doesn’t feel safe around any of them – no one except Fitz.
