Summary
First, Will Graham died. Next, he made a deal where he would be returned to life for one year, in which he needs to enter a relationship with his 'true love' if he doesn't want to die again (He neglects to mention that he doesn't believe in true love, and is just going to use his one year to catch the Ripper). Then, everything goes very differently than Will planned, and it turns out that the real devil was a lot closer to him all along than he'd ever have suspected.

Summary
After the fall, Chiyoh rescues Will and Hannibal and takes them to the Lecter home in Lithuania. When Hannibal wakes up, his memories of everything - Will, being the Ripper, everything since Mischa's death - are gone. Will's only problem with that is that killing Hannibal won't be nearly as satisfying if he doesn't understand why.
Wrestling with his own feelings, or what's left in the tattered mess of them after the fight with Dolarhyde, Will stays, hoping that Hannibal will recover and give him the opportunity he's waiting for. But there are others who remember what Hannibal did, all those years ago, and they have their own bone to pick.

Summary
He felt…fine. Well rested. Still extremely hungry, but otherwise perfectly fine. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d been without some base level of pain. Without it, he felt bright, chipper even.
Maybe the vacation was starting to work. Who knew that he just needed a few relatively stress-free days.
Hungry.
He whipped around as a deep, rumbling voice shot through his skull that seemed like it came from everywhere and nowhere at once, like he could physically hear it though it didn’t trickle into his mind from his ears.
There was no one there, obviously because he didn’t actually hear anything. The voice came from his own mind.

Over time, he realizes it isn't just a dream; Will has somehow transported himself into Hannibal Lecter's mind.
Will doesn't know why he's here or how he keeps returning, night after night with no reprieve, but he uses this opportunity to explore the internal machinations of his closest friend-turned-reviled-enemy. At first, Will assumes the most shocking thing he'd find would be the long-abandoned corridors of Hannibal's youth, but when he wanders too far he ends up discovering even something more devastating.

Will just keeps looking at him. He was kidnapped from bed so he wears what is most likely underwear for him, a white undershirt and boxer briefs. Blood paints his body like a canvas. "My life ended the moment they put me in that trunk."
"Yet here you are, alive. Why fight them if you have accepted your fate?"
Will blinks, eyes not quite meeting Hannibal’s. "Thought I could at least take some of them down with me if I tried hard enough." He looks down at the body between his feet and then back into the cabin. "I just wasn't expecting it to be so god damn easy."

Hannibal hears of Will not through a meeting, but through Tattlecrime, and swiftly becomes dangerously interested. When he decides to eliminate this particular problem, he arrives in Wolf Trap only to find someone else has gotten there first. Unable to relinquish his prey, he follows them, and finds something unexpected.
