There were a few beats of silence before Ethan responded. “I don’t know. I just care. I want for you to have someone. I want to be that person.”
Silver looked back at Ethan’s reflection again. It didn’t make any sense and he wasn’t giving any reasons. “That’s not a reason,” Silver said.
Ethan reached out suddenly and grabbed Silver by the shoulders, forcing him to look at Ethan. Silver felt his heart rate quicken.
“Silver.” Ethan looked him directly in the eyes. Silver wanted to push him away. Everything inside of him told him to push him, yell at him, run away but he stayed put. “Why can you not grasp that I just want to be friends with you? Why is it so hard?”

He went into his normal frequency and while it was normally unoccupied when he was usually on, he was a bit later than he usually was so he wouldn’t be surprised if anyone else was there. So the gasp when he checked to make sure it was empty didn’t really surprise him. What did surprise him was when the crackling voice asked in an unsure tone, “Martin?”
He felt panic fill him. “What?”
“Are- are you Martin… uhh… Martin… Blackwood? Sorry, this is probably really weird actually. I uh- I-“ the voice took a breath, “I’ve been listening to you since you started and I just got my license so I really wanted to uh talk to you,” they paused again, “sorry you’re probably thinking I’m a total creep or something, this may have been a bad idea.”
“You’ve- you’ve been listening to me?”
“Yeah, sorry I’ll just uh-“
“No, no, it’s fine I just didn’t actually think anyone else was listening to me.”
“Well, surprise?” They laughed awkwardly but the static distorted it weirdly.

Ranboo wasn’t exactly sure what he was getting into when Tubbo promised him a spot in the New L’Manberg cabinet. He sure didn’t expect all the stress that came with it. More for Tubbo but seeing him stressed worried Ranboo anyway. Ranboo didn’t even do that much, he kind of just showed up to the meetings and occasionally commented on stuff. Seeing Tubbo in such a state was enough stress for him anyway.
The small boy would show up to work everyday with bags under his eyes that look like you could carry your groceries in and his shoulders looked like he literally carries the whole country. His scars didn’t look like they were being taken care of either. Ranboo wasn’t exactly on top of his own scars but he sure wanted to start just so he could help Tubbo out as well. And Ranboo imagined the president’s eyes as dark and beautiful in his head but in reality when he really looked at them all he could see was a desperate need for help.
Basically, Ranboo knows he feels something about Tubbo but doesn’t know what and they figure it out
