Sure, Tim had been dehydrated as fuck when he got home, but a couple hours of IV fluids had that pretty much rectified. And yeah, the wound on his thigh had looked scary, but he'd suffered so much worse before—antibiotics, a couple of stitches and gauze and he'd be good as new in no time. And so what if he hadn't been sleeping well? He never slept well—that had nothing to do with the…with that.
Nothing to do with…they told him it had been two months. Two months in that cave, on that godforsaken planet. Two months in the dark, red sunlight barely peeking over the horizon in the distance. Two months stuck, injured, cold.

Summary
Tim had seen a lot in his years as a Hunter, and he knew his city well—he knew her streets, and he knew her creatures, the monsters and the spirits. He knew when werewolves were out of control and when they were simply out for a run, when spirits were likely to harm people in their vicinity, and when they were content to simply exist in the places they'd spent their entire lives.
Tim had never come up against a vampire before, but that didn't mean he wouldn't know one when he saw it, which is what brought him here.
