  2. Summary

Tales of the Quicksilver Sky-Captain and her crew as they voyage across the High Wilderness facing all the horrors that entails: incomprehensible eldritch beings that were here long before humanity, the excesses of neo-Victorian and sunless!Gallifreyan imperialism, and each other's backstories.

(aka: this is a series for any stories written for the 13th Doctor Era sunless skies AU that I made up with a dear friend! although pretty much all the important events and backstories for this AU are completely worked out, it is very unlikely that things will be added here either on a regular basis OR in chronological order. i just adore this AU enough that i wanted a pressure-free somewhere to put the stuff that DOES get written :'>)

  4. Summary

an erratically updated series of short fics, vignettes, snapshots etc that take place in a world slightly left of canon, where terrifying fear entities still exist but everyone also has to deal with the fact that they live in a universe where your unspoken love for others physically manifests itself as coughing up flowers until you get over yourself and express your feelings to them.

this is an excuse to go full ham with the magical realism and flower symbolism and conveying relationships thru flower language while also looking at how cosmic horror entities would influence that idk what to tell y'all

    Summary

When General Ambessa Medarda invites Zaun to Piltover’s old Council Hall, everyone expects war. Instead, she demands a marriage pact. Silco answers with his eldest son, Viktor, the Machine Herald. Ambessa counters with Jayce Talis, the Golden Son she molded into a weapon.

Now two empires hinge on a union neither chose.

Jayce grapples with duty sharpened into a cage. Viktor carries the weight of being an offering for peace.

A story of arranged marriage, political rebellion, found family, and the dangerous spark between two men raised to be symbols rather than sons.

    Summary

"What do you even do out here?" Jayce asked, not for the first time.

Bright colour swirled through Viktor's eyes for a second. One corner of his mouth twitched upward, almost a smile but not quite.

"It is hard to explain," Viktor answered, also not for the first time. Jayce told himself he'd keep trying, but for now, something else mattered to him more.

"Come see me," he implored. "Just for a little while. I mean. If you can."

Viktor considered for a moment. He brushed something — not quite a thumb, not quite cold metal, but something other — over Jayce's leg.

    Summary

There’s a wound that Viktor left, the first time he walked away. To have him again now is to close it with a knife: a back-barbed blade that fits neatly into Jayce’s chest, snug there against his heart, where it offers a smirking facsimile of wholeness. A fickle reprieve from the aching-gnawing part of him that has never really learned to let go.

Even the mere semblance of distance tugs at the blade. It’s a matter of self-preservation, he tells himself, to cling closer. Out of fear that there will be nothing left the next and final time that Viktor pulls away.

At the same time, Jayce isn’t sure he can blame him.

Maybe it’s that Jayce came back wrong: that he cannot sleep without thrashing, that he flinches away from the shadows of a fire cast just so, that his brain cannot tell the difference between ravine rock and their hovel’s safe stone beneath his knees. That sometimes he sees double, straddled somewhere between wakeful nightmares and slumbering delirium, like he left behind a part of him there that still sees and feels, a ghostly eye and a phantom limb of cold-alone suffering.

or: when love is enough, but it isn't easy. not when it's the kind of hurt that doesn't heal on its own.

    Summary

And there was Viktor himself. He sat at the window, back to them, still as a statue. His hair was still long, to his shoulders, and he wore a red prison uniform that hung loosely on his small frame. The sun caught the light streaks in his hair and two butterflies danced outside the window.

“Viktor,” Jayce breathed out, relief settling in him at last.

Viktor turned. Jayce saw his own desperation reflected on Viktor’s face. They were moving towards each other, magnets pulled together with no other choice.

He was warm and slight in Jayce’s arms. His hair smelt clean and faintly of citrus. He could feel Viktor’s heartbeat against his own. He shut his eyes and pulled him closer, willing them to merge. Viktor buried his face in his shoulder. He was trembling.

Or the Arcane spits Viktor and Jayce back out after ten years have passed. No one knows what to do with them, themselves included. Between the tensions in the Undercity, remains of Viktor's cult, and too much politics, they try to find a way to live again.
