Chrissy breaks the kiss and her cheeks hold a bright flush. She wipes the side of her mouth when some saliva has collected and smiles wide. “I think I like shotgunning.”
All Eddie can do is nod and stutter out, “Anytime you want.”
A spark in her eyes as she unwraps her legs from his and stands. Eddie misses her weight and his fingers twitch to hold her again.
“Anytime? You’d do that for me?”
Eddie would do just about anything to get her sitting on his lap again.
“Yeah, princess. I’ll do you the favor.”
She has to be careful. The feeling of being in control can get too addicting.
It never crosses Eddie's mind to deny Chrissy anything.

When Chrissy reaches the backrow, Eddie’s eyes go from the screen to her, and she watches as he slowly pivots his head up to look at her with a crooked smile on his face. It looks scary but she also feels something… A flutter at her core. Nope, ignore that and get pissed again!
She stands tall and loud whispers, “Could you please be quiet? You’re interrupting the movie…”
“Previews.”
“What?”
“We’re interrupting the previews,” His smile gets teeth, and she feels that flutter again. “The show hasn’t started yet.”
This started out as a one-shot where Chrissy gets tasked with asking Mr. Lord-of-Hell to be quiet during the movie previews, but it quickly got out of hand.

Eddie backs up until his shaky legs hit the couch, and then he’s collapsing onto it, dropping his face into his hands. “Fuck,” he mumbles, just loud enough for Chrissy to hear, “fuck, Chris, what if he -”
“I know,” Chrissy soothes. They’ve done this dance enough times that she knows what he needs, as intimately as if she were the one who needed it. Her hands find his shoulders and she pulls his chest and head against her stomach, his breaths hot and ragged against the front of her dress. “I know. I’m safe. We both are.”
He feels so small against her when he gets like this, when he starts to crack around the edges. He’s such a different picture now than he was just a couple of hours ago, and if there’s one good thing about this imminent breakdown, it’s that Chrissy knows how to handle it.

His brain short-circuited and he just stared at her openly concerned face. She was holding what looked like a grocery bag. Then reality rushed back to him and he very clearly remembered that he was wrapped up in his blanket and he was sure he looked like absolute shit.
“Chrissy!” He finally wheezed out before a fit of coughs attacked him. Thankfully, he had the mind to cover his mouth with his blanket before he coughed his germs all over her.
