The man lifts his hand to scratch at his shoulder and a gold ring on his fourth finger reflects the sunlight. Sakusa glances down at the ring on his left hand that he hasn’t noticed before.
One part of him reminds him that he’s dreaming; that this can’t be real. The other part of him reminds him that he’s dreaming, and he could just keep this going until he wakes up.
“I – ” he starts, and feels a pang of guilt when concern crosses this husband’s brow.
“Hm? What’s up? Ev’rythin’ okay?”
It’s not his husband. It’s so like his brain to dream up someone who isn’t real, but finally strikes his fancy.

The idea of having one person who was supposedly perfect for him sounded like a scam at best, and Atsumu wouldn't be too pressed if his soulmate turned out to be a platonic one.

Atsumu valiantly resists the urge to flop dramatically against Osamu’s counter. “Why not?” he demands, only just keeping the whine out of his voice. “You don’t mind drinkin’! Bring Suna along! Socialise somewhere that ain’t the wholesalers.”
“Because the other rule of that crawl is that ya gotta kiss a stranger along the way,” Osamu points out.

When Foster had told Atsumu that, due to a mix-up, he and Sakusa had to share a bed at the hotel room, Atsumu'd expected a relatively normal night—they'd hang out, talk shit, and just sleep on opposite sides of the mattress.
Which is how it’d started.

The Kageyamas are the best blacksmiths in town - but no-one has ever really spoken to the younger brother, who keeps himself to his forge and his rifle.
Hinata Shouyou is one of their best customers, bringing the horses from his family's ranch to the shop for shoeing regularly. When he discovers Kageyama indulging in some target practice, a competition springs up. Hinata hadn't been expecting to ever actually talk to the guy, let alone get into a rifle shooting contest. But then again, he didn't expect to end up giving him horse riding lessons either.
Kageyama Tobio isn't really sure why he let a stranger shoot his rifle or agree to learn how to ride a horse, but he does know one thing: he's definitely not going to lose.

Sakusa Kiyoomi has spent his life being able to read the emotions of people and things around him with a single touch. That is, until he meets Miya Atsumu, his melodramatic new neighbor and the setter for his local recreational volleyball team.
