"Angel..." They began their question carefully, grabbing onto the wagon the cage sits in instead of directly touching them. That never worked with them, so they just assumed whatever tactics they remembered as a child. (...Why were they using those for this? Why was it working?)
"WHAT?!" Answered The Angel, Its plumicorn flaring open, showing them irises of liquid golden and wrath that lasted eons in a single second, and a lower set of smaller, more pained and gullible eyes, nearly closed but enough to see they were similar to their own. A bloody red, molded in disconnection and an unending sense of loss that was never yours.
It tried to copy them in Its form. Huh. That's a can of worms that will eat their flesh alive when opened.
...Damn it all.

They miss their loved ones, they miss Asriel, they miss their parents' marriage, they miss Dess and Noelle and feeling like the world was normal. They just hope the deal isn't as bad as it can be.

imagining that mettaton gets the contacts and when he notices "frisk" doing things out the ordinary he discreetly moves them to the quieter spot of the group hangouts and whispers "are you alright, darling?" and chara is like "...Fine, just a little nervous because— You know already, don't you?" and when he nods chara just whisper shouts while gesturing "that is my MOTHER, Mettaton, what am i supposed to *do*?!" and mettaton is trying to hard not to laugh but chara gets out of frisks body specifically to give him a middle finger and he loses it
