Six weeks after the Osial incident, it finally comes time for Childe to return home to Snezhnaya. Having resigned himself to the idea of being a mere pawn for the sake of seeing the contract between Zhongli and the Tsaritsa fulfilled, he is surprised to find Zhongli seeking reconciliation.
No matter how much they wish it was, however, reconciliation is a process rather than an instant, and time is not on their side. As a result, they agree to keep in touch via letters—writing back to make up for lost time.
Separated by land and ocean and bound by two different paths in two very different parts of Teyvat, the two of them set about rekindling their friendship; however, it is as they say: absence makes the heart grow fonder.
