Summary
It's kind of a ridiculous concept I know, especially after Red's talk to Katarina about suicide. But I just ran with it. Not going to lie I kind of love this.
Red almost OD's at Cape May, but is found and saved in time. Liz comes back, guilt ridden. They have the screaming match we missed from season 4. Full of mixed emotions, heartache, and the beginning of healing. This is not Liz bashing at all. This is the beginning of healing for our Lizzington ship in the aftermath of Liz faking her death.
Some chapters has a song that it is named after. Lines of that song can be found in the chapter. I recommend listening to the song that corresponds with each chapter. I will include links in the notes of each chapter. Trust me, it hits different with the song. Even if the song has a different meaning then what is going on in the chapter it still can be interpreted to work with how the lines are used in each chapter.
Even if it is a stretch, I still like this idea. I tried to keep the characterization in place, but I'm not sure I did well. But really, at this point, isn't most everything better than canon?
I would like to say this book is not for the faint of heart. Attempted Suicide and Drug use are present.Bookmarked by robertjensen

It is mostly quiet, the same kind of quiet as when you’re just falling asleep and everything around you becomes distant. Or when your ears are full of cotton. But there’s a voice. Unfamiliar. It’s muffled at first, but it becomes gradually clearer, and there’s a peculiar tingling feeling when the body starts to react. Some kind of rush.

He looks up from his drawing pad when the door suddenly opens, slamming against the wall next to it, and a guy storms in. He looks like he just got out of bed, only wearing a robe and a pair of worn-out sneakers, his hair completely disheveled. The guy is panting like he just ran a marathon, and looks around him, bewildered. Andrés briefly wonders why anyone would wear a robe to an art class until the organizer of the class approaches the guy, and it dawns on him; the guy is the model.

Summary
“I’m not exactly easy being around.”
Martín doesn’t want to keep talking, his mind tells him to stop, but the effect of the alcohol makes his mouth continue:
“I knew he would leave, that it was just a matter of time. They all do, and I really can’t blame them. I’m completely fucked, Andrés. I’m not normal. When people get to know me, they realize that, and they leave.”
Martín finds himself pinned to the wall, Andrés’ fingers gripping his shoulders firmly.
“Martín, look at me.”
He forces his eyes to look into Andrés’, and he already feels calmer.
“You’re a fucking genius. You’re more brilliant than anyone I have ever met. They’re too stupid to understand that. But I get it, because you and I are alike.”

“Stop feeling sorry for yourself,” Andrés says from where he’s leaning against the wall.
“Shut up,” Martín says and throws his slipper at him.
It passes harmlessly through Andrés’ chest and falls to the floor. Martín scowls at it. It didn’t even have the decency to fall loudly. Andrés sighs, managing to sound superior despite being a figment of Martín’s twisted imagination.
“I thought we were over throwing objects at me.”

“Then why are you here? Your brother’s plan was a success no? You have millions of euros now? What could you ever need me for?” The knot in his throat bobbled as he voiced his final question, his body shaking the most as the words poured freely. It was the only one he wanted an answer to, the one he deserved an answer to most.
