“He’s not dying,” Spinister starts as he continues prodding “your joints just got stressed from tension and magnesium deficiency.”
The medic looks down into Fulcrum’s frame, huffing despite his servos beginning to work soothing circles into the formerly violent ache in Fulcrum’s hip joint; the technician feels too much relief to be bashful.
”Told ya your frame would start acting up cause you rejected treatment.”
The pain in his hip growing back like a parasite elicits another groan of pain, and then a sigh. The entire few cycles after the suite incident, Spinister had been relentlessly trying to get him to agree to this “treatment” and maybe before he would’ve been fine with it, but now? The entire idea of Spinister touching his plating so…intimately sends his spark into overdrive...
or alternatively, Fulcrum being a magnesium deficient dumb aft, Spinister trying to help him (and also them ruining crankcases movie night, feat. Krok), + more insanity

“Right, so we have three rooms, two doubles and a single. We’ll pull lots.” Krok announced to the group.
At the time, Fulcrum hadn’t thought much of the single, he was used to being squished with Misfire anyway. It would be a little awkward if it was Krok or Crankcase, but he’d live. Spinister and Grimlock would surely be exempt and have their own berth due to their size.
“I win!”
Spinster dumbly cheered, waving his stick as Fulcrum deadpanned with his matching lot. It would be his luck that both him and Spinister pulled the single.It wasn’t that Fulcrum hated Spinister’s company, by now he was used to the medic hovering behind him, but his relationship with Spinister was…unexplored to say the least...
Or alternatively, Spincrum hang out and have to share a couples suite. Spinister exercises his medical license privileges on Fulcrum as well.

Summary
After an intense hookup in the lab brought on by Perceptor inhaling chemical fumes, Brainstorm is left worrying whether the connection they'd made was genuine. Perceptor spends an entire night making sure that Brainstorm is left with no doubts in his mind over where their relationship stands. Perceptor finds that dirty talk over their private comms seems to be an effective method for getting his lab partner to forget how self-conscious he is, judging by the way Brainstorm moves his wings.

And perhaps more importantly, no conceivable reason he should want this
He jumps when First Aid speaks again.
“Your reproductive protocols are online and active,” First Aid reports with a sort of soft patience that he hates even more than his overt positivity, “which means there’s about a ninety percent chance of there being an actively gestating newspark.”

“Percy! Hi!” Brainstorm’s voice is a note too high, just a hint too desperate, for the attempt at casual he’s clearly trying for. He turns, leaning on the window like he wasn’t just trying to pull it open, and incidentally proving Perceptor’s speculation behind the reasons for all of this correct in the process. “I’m just, uh… testing the, uh…”
He looks around the room like it’ll give him an excuse, but there isn’t one to be found. Hesitantly, Perceptor takes a step toward him, but stops when it makes Brainstorm balk like a trapped animal. “Brainstorm. Tell me why you’re bleeding.”
Brainstorm's latest invention puts him in a rough spot; go to the medics for help and have his recently-lax freedoms restricted for committing science unsupervised in his habsuite, or let Perceptor help him instead, when said help just so happens to require baring his spark.

Summary
Brainstorm has run the calculations. The harness can hold twice his weight, the angles are optimal, and the load distribution is perfect. Theoretically, this should work. Practically? That depends on Perceptor’s methodology, Brainstorm’s ability to process real-time data, and whether controlled conditions are enough to account for the way his systems react to being suspended, restrained, and thoroughly tested.

Whoops! Percy just got blasted by the latest and greatest lab prototype, The Bimbo Beam™. Effects aren't immediate, but soon enough Perceptor can't think of anything better than slobbering over spike and getting railed over the nearest lab desk. Brainstorm personally doesn't see what the big deal is, AND he gets to walk through the Lost Light with a cute scope dangling off his arm. Ship really only needs one genius after all.
