“I’m serious about this Maliksi,” Snake purred before locking eyes with Diego again. “If I really wanna put you in your place, I’d like an audience.”
Diego raises a brow, pushing aside his long black dreads as he smirks. “Your freaky ass assistant watching from the balcony ain’t enough of an audience for you? Damn, you’re more of an egomaniac than I thought.”
Snake pauses, huffing a little as his amber eyes glow a bright purple. The snake tattoo on his arm does the same as he forcefully pulls Diego closer to him. “It’s not enough for me to own your little friends. I have to let the other Elites know you fully submit to me.”
Diego rolls his eyes, glaring down at the mob leader. Despite their size difference, Snake was rather insistent on reminding him of who was really in power. It must have really gotten under Snake’s skin that they managed to outsmart him and ruin his plans. Now he’s doing everything he can to maintain his status after a group of unaligned Insurgents trashed his club.

There’s a slight sting from the nails digging into her own knees, along with a pounding in her head that won’t stop. Panya doesn’t even realize she’s doing it and staring down at the floor until Bernadette breaks the silence again.
“Mon amour.”
The nickname is given to her in that soft, affectionate purr. It feels a little nostalgic as she raises her head back up, seeing a look of concern on her Boss’s face. She’s not used to that so much these days. A sliver of sympathy from Bernadette was rare. Deep down, Panya kind of misses how they were in the past. When it was a bit more common for the woman to show a smile underneath her cold exterior. Perhaps it was just the maternal relationship between them that made Panya so sensitive. But at times it morphed into something more. Maybe it was better to stop thinking about it, since the implications just made her stomach churn.

Summary

It was conducted by the Virtue Administration in hopes of turning humans into weapons.
Adam Saliba is a former superhero turned vigilante who “betrays” the Hero Agency after breaking the Creed. He took the life of his ally to save a civilian, which led to his reputation to become tarnished and cause him to rebel against the system. He forms an undercover group with his two friends Nicole and Diego to oppose the corrupt Administration and take down Crimson Eye, who is responsible for the Villain Uprising.
