“I’ve been having nightmares about you,” Bucky admitted. “About killing you and then remembering who you were.”
“You didn’t though,” Steve said stepping forward. “I’m fine.”
“You’re not fine.” Bucky’s voice was getting louder. “You’re charging off on suicide missions. You’re trying to leave right now, to go back to getting yourself killed.”
“Then give me a reason to stay.”

Summary
It's been over 3 years since Ian stood on the steps and broke up with Mickey, over 3 years since Mickey was sent to prison. A lot has changed since then, but one thing can always be relied on; Terry Milkovich sure knows how to bring them back together again. There are certain people you just keep coming back to.
This is my first fic in 3 years, and my first Shameless fic! As a side note, each chapter title (and the story title) is a song by Yellowcard; it helped me shape the fic and inspired me to write it in the beginning. Thanks heaps!!

“I was trying to commune with the ancestors and the demons became enraged,” he offered up.
