Summary
It took you everything not to start crying, even though it was all you desired at that moment. You were just a few inches away from stomping and whining like a little child who didn’t get the sweets they wanted. How pathetic of you, honestly, that losing a case elicited such a reaction within you.
Then again, you felt it was justified, because what kind of cruel deity had put you against Artem Wing not once, not twice, but thrice? You were only a rookie lawyer as well, just learning the ropes.
Or, it's not like you hated Artem Wing, you just thought he needed to stop destroying your arguments in court.

Dazai gives him a meaningful look. “You're a terrible liar, Atsushi-kun.”
“Good enough to fool everyone into thinking I’m dating you, though,” Atsushi shoots back. He pauses, thinking of Ranpo and the many meaningful looks he’s ever given both him and Dazai. “Well, almost everyone.”
AKA Atsushi still has to put up with Dazai's antics, but this time it's a little different.

“Do you want to?”
“H—huh? What?” Atsushi looked up, startled, and saw Dazai right behind him, peering over his shoulder at the same thing he had been inspecting: goldfish scooping, a popular activity at summer festivals in Japan.
Dazai rocked back and forth on his heels. “Well, don’t be ashamed of your fixation, Atsushi-kun, it’s only natural,” he grinned, the luminescence of the fishtank behind Atsushi illuminating his teeth, which made him look a little creepy. “You’re a cat, after all.”
Or, four times Atsushi and Dazai spent a summer day together + one time that was a little different.

Dazai paused and tilted his head to the side. “Why do you want to go to the ball, then?” He asked.
“For the food, of course,” Atsushi replied as a matter-of-factly. “There’s going to be a banquet, right? Because if there’s no food, I’m not sure what the point of going is.” Atsushi paused, bringing a finger to his chin and tapping it thoughtfully. “Although, if they allow access to the royal library, I’ll still go. They probably won’t, though. Ah, well, the experience… that will be worth it.”
Or, a witch grants Atsushi the opportunity go to the ball (and keeps coming back).

“Well, what’s your favourite colour, then?” Atsushi asks, reckoning he’s probably not going to figure out why Dazai suddenly wants to know.
A mischievous twinkle comes to rest in Dazai’s eyes and a grin splits his face as he shifts closer, stopping only when he’s so close his breath is fanning over Atsushi’s face. “Why, thank you asking,” he says, outrageously flirtatiously. “It’s only the colours of your eyes, Atsushi-kun.”
AKA a study date between Dazai and Atsushi (study dates they have to keep up appearances, of course).

If he doesn’t do that however, then it leaves… Mouth-to-mouth. Will that even work? Can he do that? With something like nervousness, Atsushi’s eyes flick down to Dazai’s lips, half-open already. All Atsushi has to do is lean down and kiss him back to life.
Or, Dazai isn't breathing and Atsushi freaks out about it, which leads to an interesting way of 'saving' him.
