Summary
Naturally after what's one of Bauhaus' first shows in the United States, Peter snorts a ton of coke, and is generous enough to share some with Daniel.
Unfortunately, cocaine induced hyperactivity doesn't mix well with the nerve-wracking consequences that come with staying in such a horrid and run-down hotel. In his panic, Peter gets badly injured-- and hospitals in the states are quite expensive he's heard, so all he can do is hope that Daniel's hardest attempt to make sure he doesn't die is good enough.
He never wanted Daniel to see him so vulnerable.

Adam feels the bullet ride a wave of tissue as he hauls Lawrence's body onto his thighs. It doesn't matter if this is the most excruciating pain he's ever felt in his entire life; Lawrence stayed with him. That's all that matters now.

“You say that like you don’t have your own personal demons. As if you aren’t stuck in the past also.”
“I’m learning to move on, Vincent. I have my own scars. Most of them aren’t on the surface like yours, but they’re there. I still have the scar from when Sephiroth ran me through with his sword. Want to see?” Before Vincent could say anything Cloud was leaning up to undo his shirt, pulling it up over his head. As promised, there was a large scar that ran through the middle of his stomach. Vincent tugged off his glove and traced it.
“I don’t know if I can move on,” Vincent said quietly. “Lucrecia . . .”
“Wouldn’t want you to spend all of eternity stuck in the same cycle of negative thoughts,” Cloud finished for him, interrupting. “I’m sure she wants you to experience things that she can’t give you.”
