Summary
Jax, a royal prince, once had a lavish life, living in his palace, throwing his rich parties, but one day everything changes. An enchantress breaks into his castle and curses him to live as a beast forever, and can only break the curse when he finds a person to love him, and love them in return.
Pomni, a former circus performer, now lives in a small countryside town and lives with her father, Caine. Although she's ostracized by the townsfolk, and constantly harassed by a man she doesn't care for, she lives a quiet life. One day, her father is imprisoned by Jax after supposedly stealing from him, she makes a deal with him, putting herself in her fathers place. The Abstractions have begun to corrupt, the system is failing at the hands of its maker, and the digital world around them is fractured by an instability unable to contain something that is strictly human.

“Yeah, I did,” Pomni admits, lowering her hand. She begins to fiddle with the knobs on her jester costume idly. “I did.”
