    Summary

    Hob saves Dream from his imprisonment but is shot several times in the process. He manages to break the glass ball, but when he wakes up he is in his own bed, bleeding and with no memory of what happened after that. He doesn't know if his friend is alright, doesn't know what happened to him, and he goes a bit crazy with worry.

    Eventually, Dream comes back to Hob and, after that, they start to meet more often until they become part of each other's lives. However, this new closeness will be threatened by old mistakes and fighting ancient powers is never easy.

    When Dream travels to the Waking World in 1916 to apprehend the Corinthian, the Nightmare lays a trap for Dream in an author's house: an author seeking a muse. And then he gives said author the tools to bind Dream completely to his will, mind and body. It takes an extreme set of circumstances to set in motion his eventual release...

    "A Nightmare has to have some secrets," Corinthian drawled, and then smiled. "I knew you were coming to unmake me, you see. Now you can't. And now you can be under someone's thumb the way I've been under yours."
