It’s early June, and they’re at the mall.
Everyone is still tense about BJ visiting the house, so they tend to hang out outside - with frequent documentation. Charles still wants her to hang out in the ‘Real World’ more, so they can’t go anywhere cool and abandoned today. BJ, at Lydia’s behest, still needs to build a more expansive wardrobe that makes him look a little bit less like the undead creep he is, so they need to go somewhere that suits him.
