Summary
Michael's friend Ray just got him an in on this crazy ass concept on communal living, a revamped mall called Niche. It's fancy and modern and Michael is loving the shit out of the place, but something seems a little weird about the other residents. With that eating at the back of his mind, Michael adjusts to this new life while working from home and falling hard core for the hot as fuck building manager, Ryan Haywood.
Chapter 7 preview:
A heat spread across the back of his neck, a small prick in the middle. Michael didn't realize the he would feel the projected light. He took a deep breath then held it. Ryan didn't touch him for fear of jostling the entry point but gave encouraging words instead."It'll be over in a moment, Michael. Mine doesn't even hurt anymore. Don't tense up."
He leaned to Michael's level and locked eyes with him. "Relaxing will help."

Kaeya shudders.
“Is that so?” he rasps.
“Yes,” Albedo says. “I want to see what happens when you stop pretending to be invincible.”
Kaeya laughs. It’s breathless. Unsteady. “Darling, I’ve never been invincible. I’ve just been very, very good at misdirection.”
“Then don’t misdirect,” Albedo says, fingers drifting again—closer now. Still not touching where Kaeya wants, but God, it’s unbearable. “Be honest.”
Kaeya tilts his head back. “Honesty is terrifying.”
“So is desire,” Albedo murmurs. “But you’ve let me have both, haven’t you?”
His fingers curl. Just slightly. Paint smears over the edge of Kaeya’s hipbone.
Or, Kaeya agrees to pose for Albedo, but becomes the one painted in gold, in reverence, in oil and longing.

Michael lives in the most expensive penthouse Los Santos has to offer, and he knows how everyone likes their coffee, and it’s disgustingly domestic, almost, except how they’re all fucking each other and committing high-stakes crimes on the regular.
(“Alright, boys,” Geoff says. His coffee sits untouched on the table, the way it does whenever he’s particularly excited about something, the way it will stay until he’s laid out the plan completely. “This one’s gonna be good.”

Summary
The king is never mad, only slightly discontent. The term mad king is a string of words that strike fear into people's hearts, and it’s exactly how Ryan wants it. It's a placebo, a pill Ryan hands out to people so they can swallow it and shut up. No other kingdom fucks with him because they think he’ll skin them alive and wear their flesh like a fucking prize. It's an elaborate social experiment Ryan's been running for decades now. No kingdom, except the one of roses, seem to get the point of his Mad King title.
