Summary
Somewhere in Heaven, God was laughing, and Satan knew it. Just watching Satan suffer probably got the bastard off. Having to properly deal with humans, having crippling emotions, and watching the only thing Satan cared about die again and again was probably what God actually wanted. It was three new levels of Hell that were unlike any other form of suffering, and yet there Satan was, dealing with it all. Not for God’s pleasure, fuck that.

Akira gaped as Ryo’s skin melted away in a burst of blinding white light. Akira’s vision was flooded by it, and as he gasped, he breathed in the sheer power emanating from Ryo’s transforming body. It shook his bones and made his knees tremble. Everything was white, like Ryo’s clothes, like his hair, like his smooth, perfect skin.
The sight did something to him, something he couldn’t name. But it felt like a part of his skull was cracking open, releasing something he didn’t understand. Something brand new, completely foreign. It was dark, and powerful, telling him to kneel. To worship.

Ryo let out a nervous laugh before scoffing. “I thought you said I had to rest tonight.”
“And you will,” Akira explained, dragging the sentence out. “That’s why I’ve decided to bring the date to you.”
(Or, in order to make Ryo happy on Valentine’s Day after canceling their dinner reservations, Akira decides to surprise his ill boyfriend by bringing the romantic date to him instead.)
