Derek Hale holds a gargantuan alpha paw out to Stiles for shaking. Stiles glares at it for a moment, eyes flicking desperately to Jordan for approval without thinking about it. He hasn’t moved or done anything without Jordan’s permission in so long he can’t help himself, and everyone in the room notices. Derek Hale most notably. He looks at Stiles’ reaction, looks at Jordan, and slowly retracts his hand. “No talking to alphas, is that it?” There’s accusation there in his tone, but it’s veiled. Thinly. But it is veiled.
“He can talk to whoever he likes to talk to, he just doesn’t like alphas,” Jordan corrects firmly. “Stiles, shake his hand.”

The sheriff watched him for a moment, then he sighed and turned slightly. He reached out to open a cabinet door beside him, and pulled out a shelf. It was on a track, so it rolled out of the cabinet fairly easily, and held a small CCTV. Derek frowned and inched his chair to the side a little bit so he could get a better angle.
He was looking at a teenager, or someone at least young enough to be the same age as Scott. He was sitting on a bed in what looked to be a larger room, the area he was in surrounded by four glass walls, with his legs crossed and head tilted.
He was also staring directly into the camera, as if he knew someone was watching. A creepy smile slowly slid onto the teen’s face, and he held up one hand, wiggling his fingers in a slow, eery wave.
Derek felt his mouth run dry. He didn’t know who this kid was, but he didn’t like him.
“Who is that?” he asked quietly.
“That,” said the sheriff, “is my son.”

Yeah, absolutely.

He drags his focus over, hand slipping over Joey's knee to hide the fact that he can't remember a thing Joey has said in the past twenty minutes and to distract from Stiles suddenly looking around. It's pretty effective, or it would be if the person who stole Stiles' attention wasn't the Sex God Dad himself with a goddamn baby bjorn strapped to his chest, that fucking baby kicking her legs around with a fist in her mouth and crocodile tears running down her cheeks.
Stiles is so, so fucked.
Or, the one where Stiles tries dating someone but Derek shows up everywhere they go with the cutest baby in the world, and it's VERY distracting.
